I would like to take just moment to share with you
what I believe to be the most important truth a person can ever know. If you were to
stand before God today and He were to ask you why He should allow you to come into His Heaven,
what would your answer be?
God gives us in His Bible the only correct answer He will accept. The following will help you
to understand it:
FIRST: We all have a need of God's Salvation: "For all have sinned and come short of the
glory of God" (Romans 3:23). "...Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of
God" (John 3:3).
SECOND: We cannot save ourselves: "Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but
according to His mercy He saved us..." (Titus 3:5).
THIRD: Jesus has provided for our salvation: "Who his own self bare our sins in his own
body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose
stripes ye were healed." (I Peter 2:24)
FOURTH: We must receive the Lord Jesus for salvation: "...Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ,
and thou shalt be saved..." (Acts 16:31).
"But as many as received him, to them gave he power
to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:" (John 1:12).
FIFTH: Now is the time to receive the Lord Jesus as Savior: "...behold, now is the
accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation." (II Corinthians 6:2)
"...as the Holy
Ghost saith, to day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts..." (Hebrews 3:7-8)
My friend, receiving Jesus Christ as Savior is the most important decision any person can make in
their entire life. Because your eternal destiny lies with what you do with Jesus Christ in this
life, it is important to make your choice now! The Lord said in Proverbs 14:12, "There is a way
that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death." And in Isaiah 55:9 "For
as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than
your thoughts."
Our thoughts about the hereafter are not always correct and our ways of getting to heaven are not
necessarily God's way. Jesus said that there is only one way to get to Heaven: "I am the way,
the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father but by me." (John 14:6)
Won't you receive the Lord Jesus Christ right now to be your Savior? The following is a simple prayer
that if prayed from your heart in sincerity, will invite the Lord Jesus into your life to save you:
"Lord, I know that I am a sinner and believe that your Son, the Lord Jesus, died on Calvary's cross so
He could pay the penalty for my sin. Right now I receive Him to be my payment for sin by asking Him to
come into my life and take away my sin. Thank you for loving me and saving my soul. Amen."
